The CM-802LD / CM-803LD / CM-805LD / CM-807LD integrated-display controller series was introduced in cooperation with CANADA MEGA-METER CO. LTD. This is an archived release dated 11 January 2022. The functions below describe the release configuration; current order specifications and firmware documentation take precedence.
1. Integrated LCD and local operation
The release describes a 2.1-inch LCD, a menu-based interface and convenient local operation.
2. Timed and quantity-based totalization
The controller configuration supports accumulated flow and operating modes based on elapsed time or accumulated quantity. A configured target can stop the operating sequence. Confirm the supported function and the required gas-safety isolation arrangement; a flow-control action is not a substitute for independent safety shutoff.
3. Local, remote and analog operation
The release lists 0–5 V / 4–20 mA analog control, remote communication through RS485 / Modbus, and local LCD/keypad operation. Select the supported mode for the actual installation.
4. Gas library
The release configuration describes 60 standard gas entries plus one custom-gas entry, for 61 entries in total. Gas selection can be made through a supported local or remote interface. Confirm gas compatibility and library support for the exact supplied version before changing the gas.
5. Communication protocols
The release describes a manufacturer-specific RS485 protocol and a Modbus protocol option. RS485 is the electrical interface; Modbus defines communication behavior. Confirm the exact protocol, register map and supported settings rather than assuming every RS485 device communicates in the same way.
6. Device addressing
The historic description mentions address settings up to 255 for the product's addressing capability. This must not be interpreted as the valid slave-address range of standard Modbus RTU: Modbus serial unicast device addresses are 1–247, subject to the product's implementation. Confirm the address rules for the selected protocol.
7. Digital processing
The release describes a TI DSP with an operating capability of about 60 million operations per second for processing and control. Processor capability does not by itself specify the gas-flow response time; use the current product specification for that value.
8. Temperature-related adaptation
Temperature data are monitored to support the instrument's configured flow correction. The current website describes temperature/pressure adaptation; the precise supported functions and operating conditions must be confirmed for the supplied version.
9. Materials and operating limits
The archive describes corrosion-resistant materials and mentions a pressure withstand capability of up to 20 MPa in a historic configuration. A withstand rating is not the permitted working-pressure or differential-pressure range, and it must not be applied to every current CM product. Confirm materials, seals, temperature and pressure limits against the actual order.
